Modern wireless routers for home and business come pre-fitted with antennas mounted directly on the unit which is often not conducive to both convenient placement of the router and optimum signal coverage. You may want to place your home router out of sight in a cupboard or under the stairs, or your business router in an office cupboard, IT cabinet or rack. However, locating the router in such a location will consequently reduce signal transmission potentially causing reduced data rates or even blackspots in your environment.
One solution includes purchasing external antennas with extension cables, but as you already possess the correct antennas you only require extension cables and a simple, tidy method of mounting the antennas in a more suitable location. The vast majority of WiFi antennas utilise RP‑SMA type connectors and compatible extension cables of various lengths are readily available, however mounting these neatly can be more of a challenge. This is where our attractive WiFi antenna mounting plates come in - designed to accept RP‑SMA bulkhead connectors found on one end of extension cables. and onto which the original antennas will attach. This can then be attached to a flat wall, cupboard or other surface as required.
Our mounting plates are manufactured using a 1.6mm thick laser-engraved bi-colour acrylic laminate bonded to a 5mm thick laser-cut acrylic backing plate to form a strong, lightweight construction. The mounting plates are provided with 5mm holes for screw mounting as standard, or optionally peel-and-stick strong self-adhesive backing instead. Whichever option you choose, our mounting plates are sure to provide an attractive mounting solution that will look professional and will not spoil your décor.

- DURABLE - The plate comprises a durable 1.6mm acrylic laser laminate faceplate bonded to a 5mm thick laser-cut cast acrylic backplate which can be easily recycled. Unaffected by temperature and UV-stable so won’t deform, crack or fade in direct sunlight.
- LEGIBILITY - The faceplate consists of an ultra-thin 0.1mm bright white coating laser-engraved to reveal the black core producing crisp text and graphics with maximum contrast and clear legibility in all light conditions which won’t fade or deteriorate over time.
- EASY MAINTENANCE - Can be easily wiped and cleaned in place using a damp cloth or foam cleaner to maintain appearance (Please ensure no moisture enters the connectors themselves).

PLEASE NOTE:
- We do not provide screws or fixings with this faceplate as the exact hardware required will be dependent on the mounting surface and material in your specific application.
- This plate is designed for mounting on a flat wall or cupboard which will require 2x 10mm min. diameter holes to be drilled 70mm apart for WiFi antenna extension cables to pass through. A card drill template is provided to assist with marking all hole positions.
- Please protect the delicate connectors of your extension cables with a thin plastic bag or rolled paper when passing the end through the holes to prevent dust contamination or physical damage.
- While the acrylic material used is very robust in handling, please do not over-tighten mounting screws if used as this may cause the acrylic to crack. The assembly is very lightweight and does not require mounting screws to be very tight to be securely mounted.
