Push and pull plates provide an easy decorative way to protect swing doors from daily use and are especially popular in high-traffic areas, but material specifications for long life with minimal degradation are often overlooked in favour of cost. Maple Skyline offers a range of push and pull plates with the same high quality optimised for different applications and budgets.

Maple Skyline push and pull plates differ from those from other manufacturers who use a single-colour general purpose acrylic and simply screen-print lettering or engrave and infill with paint. Our plates are manufactured from a dual-layer laser engraving laminate specially developed for processing using a laser. This hard-wearing material comprises a 2-ply modified acrylic sheet with a tough micro-finished surface layer on a high-quality contrasting-coloured core. By engraving away the top layer with precision depth using a laser it reveals the core colour to produce permanent high definition, high contrast lettering in a single process with no mess or cleaning, and the laser cutting leaves perfect, heat-smoothed edges every time – no rough machined edges. This material is UV- and weather-resistant, suitable for both interior and exterior applications and resistant to oils, greases and most chemicals and can be easily cleaned in place.

Our Commercial Push & Pull Plates utilise a professional grade 3.2mm thick laminate with an enhanced non-reflective textured acrylic cap providing extra durability and scratch resistance for the most demanding environments. This product is ideally suited to industrial applications such as factories, distribution centres and loading bays, garages and workshops, hospitals, retail stores and other high-traffic public areas.
