    Our Icon Series Appliance Switch ID Laser Foils are an easy way to neatly and permanently add identification of connected appliances to electrical fused connection units (FCUs) or 'spurs', switches or sockets without having to replace or remove existing units for retrospective marking or having new units engraved and filled.

    When installing or updating a kitchen it is now required to mark FCUs or isolator switches with such identification, however you may wish to re-use existing switchgear without removal or replacement, and our Laser Foils are ideal, cost-effective solution in this situation. Our Icon Series foils unique to Maple Skyline differ from our Standard Series in having an attractive pictorial icon alongside the appliance name just to add a touch of class.

    Our Laser Foils are like regular stickers, only better! While printed or laminated stickers are a quick, cheap solution for many applications, they are not ideally suited for applications in hot, humid or dirty environments like kitchens, garages or workshops when long service life is required.

    Manufactured from an ultra-thin 0.2mm laser engraving laminate specially developed for processing using a laser, this flexible material comprises a 2-ply acrylic sheet with micro-finished surface layer on a contrasting-coloured base layer. By engraving away the top layer with precision depth using a laser it reveals the base colour to produce high definition, high contrast identification plates in a choice of common finishes including gloss white, brushed silver or brushed gold to compliment most household switchgear, bright matt yellow for high visibility industrial or commercial applications, and matt white or black to match some select modern high-end finishes.

    All our Laser Foils come with a permanent, high-strength self-adhesive backing and can be easily fitted to flat or 2D curved surfaces found on more decorative faceplates.

    Each Laser Foil can be ordered individually so you can order exactly what you need. For professional electricians and installers, we offer larger kiss-cut strips in multiples of 10 with great cost savings, and for DIY installations we offer a complete sheet including all 30 pre-defined appliances, everything you are likely to encounter in a home environment. What's more, our complete set is bundled with our acrylic positioning guide (available separately) for accurate, consistent application and our DIY promise - buy a complete set and, if you mess up any labels, we'll send you up to 3 individual replacement Laser Foils free of charge!

    How to order:

    Using the steps below, it is easy to order exactly the number of laser foils you require for each appliance:

    1. Select the material colour option from the drop-down list at the top of the page. The colour combination is Face (top layer) colour / Core (base layer) colour where the base layer is the colour of text or graphics that will be revealed when the top layer is engraved away.

    2. Select appliance from the drop-down list of pre-defined appliances. If the appliance you require is not listed, please select 'Other (Enter text below)' and then type the text you require into the 'Custom text' field provided. There is no additional charge for selecting custom text and we will assign or design an appropriate icon for your appliance.

    3. To select vertical grain for brushed silver or brushed gold finish instead of the default horizontal grain, select the corresponding option tick-box. There is no additional charge for selecting this option.

    4. To order 1-9 foils for individual appliances, simply set the quantity control to the number required and click the 'Add to Basket' button. Repeat the process for each appliance you require.

    5. To order a strip of 10 foils for individual appliances at a discount, select the corresponding option tick-box and set the quantity control to the number of strips required and click the 'Add to Basket' button. Repeat the process for each appliance you require.

    6. To order a full set of foils comprising a sheet with 1 each foil for all 30 pre-defined appliances, select the corresponding option tick-box and set the quantity control to the number of sheets required and click the 'Add to Basket' button. With this option selected it does not matter which individual appliance you have selected as you will receive them all!

    Using the above steps, you can easily select any combination of full sets, strips of 10, or individual foils as required, or add any custom foils to your selection. Professional electricians and installers can order full sets and subsequently top up later with strips or individual foils for the most used appliances as required.
